Photology relies on the date and time information saved by your digital camera when you take a photo. If, for some reason, that information is inaccurate or missing, the results from the Date and Time Of Day filters in Photology will not make sense.
Reasons for inaccurate or missing information include:
- You replaced the battery in your camera and forgot to reset the date/time.
- You never set the date/time on your camera.
- You went on vacation half way around the world and did not change the date/time to the local settings.
- You modified the photo in software that stripped out the date/time information.
Here are a couple of software options for fixing the inaccurate or missing date/time information, but they do require a bit of work on your part:
- PhotoInfo provides a way to modify EXIF information (which includes date/time) when you right-click on a photo in Windows Explorer.
- EXIF Date Changer is a simple tool that allows you to change the date and time on your photos.
